The next National Library Congress will be held June 5–7, 2019 at the Helsinki Hall of Culture (Sturenkatu 4). A total of 700 library professionals, decision-makers and other interest groups are expected to attend the event.
Highlights of the program on Wednesday 5th of June (the programme is mainly in Finnish):
Organized by the Finnish Library Association, the National Library Congress is Finland’s biggest event in the library field. The event is held every other year, and it has been a tradition in the field since 1882.
Organisers of this years event include Helsinki City Library, Helsinki University Library, Espoo City Library, Kerava City Library and the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland.
Access to the National Library Congress website, www.kirjastopaivat2019.fi will begin and registration will open February 6, 2019.
